I heard that some car dricer types went to court to put an injunction on all new bike lanes which the Mayor and the supervisors had voted yes on. The injuction cites a need for there to be, get this, an environmental impact report undertaken. Some judge placed an injunction. Completely Rediculoius.

This project includes more than just the removal of one lane and adding bicycle lanes. It's about making the street safer for all that use it. If you're really interested in getting those bike lanes and maker the street safer for all that use it, including pedestrians please contact Fran Taylor at FTTaylor@Cmp.com and leave your contact information with her.
FYI There's going to be a community meeting at the Bernal Gateway on July 15th from 10:00 to noon to prioritize the solutions to the traffic hazards on Mission between CC and Randall Streets. Spread the word. Some of the solutions include fixing the Valencia/Mission intersection, creating a mid-block crossing between 29th and Valencia, and perhaps add a pedestrian scramble phase at the crazy 30th St. intersection which is really two interesections. For more information call Zabe Bent at the Transportation Authority, but all you really need to do is show-up.
