Hey, I'm a vegetarian so I didn't do fish but I ordered the Vegetarian Roll, Vegetarian Dragon Roll, and Inari and it was all fabulous. Everything was fresh and a lot of imagination went into the preparation which is always appreciated by vegies. I'm hoping that someone on the tribe that eats fish will comment on the Sushi and Sashimi. The carnivore with me didn't like the New York Steak. It came to the table whole without a steak knife and was served with Chinese rice. But we'd go back again and try other plates.
And if you are into vegie Chinese ask them to fix you spicy eggplant with an assortment of veggies, like snow peas, bell pepper, red onions, and tofu. It's not on the menu so you really have to give them direction but it's worth every bite.

There's also a new butcher/sushi place on Cortland. I think it's called Bleuss Meats. It's between Bonview and Bocana. They have actually been there for like 60 years and up til now have just been supplying restaurants with meat and fish for sushi. I just popped in and got some ground beef I was on my way up to Good Life for. Nice to have a butcher.

Sorry to disappoint you but that butcher shop has been closed for a number of years. A few years back a couple of young guys tried to make a go of it but didn't. I'm a vegetarian so there's no chance that I'll be going to a butcher anytime soon. Shiso's is a restaurant and is co-owned by one of the guys that runs the Jasmine Tea House further north on Mission St. I like the veggie rolls but hestitate to eat there with friends because I know nothing about the sushi etc so I'm just looking for folks that frequent Mission St. and might have tried the sushi bar at Shiso.
