  Muddy's on Valencia and 24th is open late (10 or 11), rarely crowded (except for game nights), and has free wireless. It's got a grubby feel that I sorta like.
  
  Up on Valencia north of 22nd we've got Ritual (clean and crowded) open until 11. We also have the Marsh Cafe, which is open until 10, and usually catches overflow from Ritual.
  
  22nd and Bartlett there's Papa Toby's Revolution cafe.
  
  That should give you some options...

    Toward Potrero, near CCA, there's Axis Cafe around 16th Street and Arkansas. Closes at 7 but free jazz most afternoons and a very pleasant place to work and eat.
